New Nonprofit Agape was founded in 2003 by Lynne Guhman who now serves as Agape’s Executive Director. Lynne first visited India in January of 2000 and became convinced that she could make a difference in the suffering that she saw all around her. She came home to Boston, quit her investment management job and returned to live in India in 2000. At that time, she began work with an orphanage in Vijayawada. She launched Agape in 2003 in response to the
great need she saw for orphanages and care dedicated to children and families suffering as a result of the growing AIDS crisis in Asia.
US Team - Click here to see our International Board Lynne quickly assembled a US team to help launch Agape. Kim Ogden, a former Bain partner and Harvard Business School graduate, joined Agape as COO in the US. The Agape US Board includes individuals with extensive business, childcare and nonprofit experience.
